The Operations Support Manager is responsible for administering the technical and corporate training activities necessary to meet / exceed company training requirements and to oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of aircraft modifications. One of the Operations Support Manager’s primary roles is to assess training needs, create training plans / materials, and deploy effective training programs to ensure employees are trained and qualified to competently perform the duties associated with their job and to improve employees’ skills, productivity, and quality of work. The Operations Support Manager evaluates training program effectiveness, manages training budgets, and stays updated on training drivers to ensure the organization’s training initiatives are aligned with business goals and employee developmental needs. The Operations Support Manager measures the effectiveness of training via metrics and compliance audits and then works with other managers and leaders to generate necessary corrective actions, training enhancements, and other solutions. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the company maintains compliance with published processes, procedures, systems as well as internal and external regulatory requirements and in continuous improvement.
This role requires a thorough understanding of aviation regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Training Programs :
- Design and implement comprehensive aviation training programs for Aery personnel to include corporate general, maintenance, safety and flight operations to include the FAR Part 135, 145 and USG Flight and Ground Operations requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop training materials and curriculum that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ensure that training programs are effective, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provides company “needs analysis” and budget forecast plan for training on a quarterly or as needed basis.
