AESC is looking to add a Corporate General Ledger Accounting Manager to our team in Santa Clara, CA.

AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational and supplying electric vehicle batteries for the Nissan LEAF since 2012, was retooled in 2025 and now produces batteries for Energy Storage Systems. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply next generation cells for BMW starting in 2026. About The Role
Responsible for general accounting activities, Receivables, Payables, Accruals, Prepayments, fixed assets, lease accounting, review of financial statements related reporting schedules, review of close items and supporting audit and reviews from external auditors. Administers approved accounting practices throughout the company to assure that financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for effective operations. SAP system and accounting process improvements and new system integrations.

About The Role

Administers approved accounting practices throughout the company to assure that financial reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for effective operations. SAP system and accounting process improvements and new system integrations.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for streamlining and improving the accounting operation SAP system and process related to Receivables, Payables, fixed assets, and GL accounting operation.
- Responsible for reviewing US financial statement accounting records as well as account reconciliations.
- Responsible for annual, quarterly, and monthly US entities close items.
- Review lease agreement and amortization schedules under IFRS 16/ASC 842
- Lead system and process improvements related to close timeline and accounting record accuracy.
- Maintains oversight within the Company for the accuracy and compliance of accounting transactions and processes.
- Makes appropriate decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions accuracy.
- Cooperates with external auditors to audit accounting procedures and reports.
- Collaborates with the Internal Controls team to conduct periodical self-audits of internal systems and procedures. Works with Internal Controls to improve process controls and efficiency.
- Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities to meet the designated deadlines, goals, and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.

What You Need
- Four-year college degree in a finance or accounting related field or relevant accounting education. CPA and big 4 experience preferred.
- Minimum 6 years work experience
- SAP System experience required
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Required Accounting operation in a manufacturing environment.
