This position is primarily responsible for growing sales in the Region. Aesop Wholesale Sales Representatives carry out the mission and goals of the Sales and the National Sales Managers to achieve the desired outcomes. Sells autos, parts and accessories to wholesale parts customers and actively solicits wholesale accounts. Builds relationships with existing and new customers to continue to create trust. Represents the company professionally and ethically possessing an elevated level of integrity.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Customer Relations:
- Serves as a relationship manager with all customers.
- Maintains and builds relationships with new and existing accounts.
- Embodies Aesop Auto Part's core values.
- Skilled in the art of listening. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.
- Answer part requests in multiple forms of communication in a manner that offers the best customer experience while supplying the best part for the customer's situation.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
Drives Sales-Category of Responsibilities:
- Provides pricing, product information, lead time information, and updates to customers, as necessary.
- Calls on automotive wholesale distributors, contractors, and private label partners in sales territory through virtual technology, and phone calls.
- Develop new customers and continue to increase the number of customers being serviced.
- Manage existing orders regularly to minimize any issues that may negatively affect the customer experience.
- Follow up on existing quotes and leads by reaching out to customers in the form of communication they prefer.
- Offers different approaches to the same process inspiring innovation.
- Meets sales team objectives.
- Work the sales phone cue.
- Quotes formally and informally as needed.
Administrative-Category of Responsibilities
- Enter orders correctly within system, work within time limits to expedite orders
- Ensures CRM database is maintained; both accurately and timely.
- Responsible for all COD collections on all drop ship transactions. Follow up on all warranty and core returns because those can also lead to open COD issues.
- Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
- Incorporates technology in the sales process as needed.
- Reports all communication, verbal and written, to the Sales Manager daily.
Business Acumen-Category of Responsibilities

- Clear communication with all departments of production and order fulfillment with respect while maintaining a customer minded form of communication.
Perform Other Duties as Assigned
- Works in a customer-facing environment when onsite.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales to large customer groups or wholesalers. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of the recycling auto industry or related
- Highschool diploma or GED is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
- Phones Sales and Cold Calling experience
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Reacts well and positively under pressure while showing courage and taking action.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word with the aptitude to learn new systems and software.
- Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems, and cell phones.
- Honesty/Integrity. Do not cut corners ethically, always speaking plainly and truthfully.
- Must be able to work collaboratively across functions. Share expertise with others.
- Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
