Position Overview
The primary focus of a Warehouse Associate in the auto recycling industry is to retrieve parts accurately and efficiently from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders. Their attention to detail, knowledge of inventory systems, and ability to work effectively within a team contribute to the overall success of the organization in meeting customer demands and maintaining high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Fulfillment
- Carefully review order information, such as stock numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure accurate picking.
- Using the warehouse management system or other tools, locate and pick the designated parts within the warehouse with care, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage or loss.
- Collaborates with Production Support to maintain accurate inventory levels, reporting any discrepancies or stock shortages, and suggests improvements to optimize inventory accuracy.
- Meets Fulfillment team objectives.
2. Quality
- Inspects picked parts to ensure they meet quality standards, and checks for any defects, damage, or missing components.
- Reports any defects, damage, missing items, or discrepancies found to the Warehouse Supervisor or Order Fulfillment Manager.
- Ensures only the correct and conforming parts are provided to customers.
3. Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (keeping the warehouse clean and organized, following safety procedures, and reporting any hazards or incidents)
4. Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements:Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous automotive parts knowledge and experience are preferred.
- Prior experience is not mandatory for a Warehouse Associate, familiarity with warehouse or logistics environments, such as understanding inventory management and operating material handling equipment, would be beneficial.
- Forklift Certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend orders, instructions, and other role-related items to accurately and timely complete the job functions.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across teams and with customers.
- Aptitude to learn new systems and software for the role.
- Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems, and cell phones.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- Must be able to ambulate throughout the worksite for the majority of the workday.

- May work indoors in the warehouse and occasionally outside in varying weather conditions.
- Occasionally lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Expected work hours are based on role and location
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
