AEST Fire & Safety is looking to hire a Facility Manager for our Firefighter Gear Repair center (independent service Provider ISP). Our facility is new and is equipped with new equipment. our ISP has 4 employees with the ability to expand up to 10 employees. AEST Fire & Safety is family owned and has been in business since 2009. The ISP has been in operation since July of 2024. We are a small team where everyone gets along. Our family environment is valued and we expect a new team member who can work well in this type setting. This is not a corporate setting.
The Facility Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, including but not limited to: Project management, daily check-in of gear arrival, scheduling and prioritizing orders, preparing gear for cleaning, data entry, direct management of seamstress personnel, shipping and receiving, work orders and invoicing, making and receiving phone calls to and from customers, sending and receiving emails, ordering materials and supplies, facility cleaning, attend trade shows, conduct site visits to Fire Departments, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this job has a minimum of a 2 year associates degree in the field of business management. Prior experience in the fire service is a plus but not required. The candidate possesses strong skills such as interpersonal communications, great customer service, self-motivation, outgoing, highly organized, team player, highly goal oriented, ability to motivate others, experience with quickbooks, MS Word, Excel, and other proprietary computer programs. The ability to lift more than 25 pounds, must be able to work on your feet for extended periods. The candidate has experience as a manager in a growing company with 2-10 employees. The candidate will be required to travel to other sites on occasion and interact with outside customers. Occasional overnight stays could be required, though not often. Some use of your personal vehicle could be required with reimbursement for expenses and usage of your vehicle.
This is a salaried exempt position with the expectation to work at least 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8-5 pm. Compensation for this job is $45,000-$65,000 annually, depending on qualifications, education, and experience. We pay weekly with the first week's pay withheld. Most holidays off, and most all weekends off. We provide necessary training for Firefighter Gear Repair specifics. Some training occurs off-site and will require travel out of state with overnight stays. All training and expenses are paid for. This position allows for 1 week paid vacation in the first year, with increasing vacation allowed with years of service. No insurance or retirement benefits are currently provided. This is subject to change. Annual pay cost of living raises are normally provided along with merit base pay raises when warranted.
