Roofing Quality Control Technician

Position Summary:

As an Aesthetic Roofing Quality Control Technician with a starting base salary of $45,000 - $50,000 per year (depending on experience), you will work directly with production teams to oversee quality and timely completion of roofing projects by actively inspecting jobs in progress for workmanship standards and completing final walkthrough inspections to provide customers and carriers with official certificates of completion. Your success in this role will be determined by your ability to accurately and consistently identify potential workmanship errors prior to completion and thus directing install crews to correct those errors before they become major repairs. Your success will also be gauged by your ability to minimize customer complaints through timely communication and repairs for qualified warranty claims.

Compensation Overview:

• Annual base salary starting at $45,000 - $50,000 DOE

Primary Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor jobs in progress and communicate discrepancies to Operations staff as needed
• Deliver additional materials occasionally and as needed ensuring continuity in job progress
• Conduct final walkthrough inspections to identify any deficiencies in workmanship standards before signing off a passing Quality Control Final Inspection
• Manage and update quality control aspects of CRM systems and make detailed job notes for each active project daily
• Keep accurate materials delivery and utilization records
• Collect feedback from customers
• Collect excess and unused materials from job sites each day and match quantities with material orders provided by Operations staff
• Return applicable excess/unused materials to suppliers for restock or warehouse items for future use

Job Requirements:

• Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record (for company-use vehicles)
• Must be able to reliable commute or be willing to relocate to South Jordan, Utah
• Must be able from 7:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
• Must be familiar with roofing systems and structural design components
• Prior roofing or construction experience is strongly recommended
• Must have a working knowledge of cloud-based technology systems such as Google Workspace, Google Chat, calendars and various CRM systems
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
