Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in or check out patients as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses as well as several other general office activities related to medical practice
- Confirm appointments and verify insurance eligibility.
- Process payments and obtain authorizations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
- Experience with ModMed/EMA EHR systems preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
