Busy surgical center in Greensburg looking for Casual Certified Nursing Assistant. Position consists of assisting PACU staff in with prepping patient pre operatively and assisting post operatively. Hours include care for any extended stay patients.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
Assists the RN with the patient admission process.
Help the patient change into patient gown in preparation of surgery.
Obtain V.S. and document in electronic medical record.
Assists the patient to the restroom.
Provides emotional support to the patient and family pre op and post op.
Assists the RN in caring for the patient post operatively.
Provides nourishment to the patient under the direction of the RN.
Assists the RN with discharging the patient to home.
Cleans and dresses stretcher after patient discharge.
Taking care of putting ordered linens away.
Making patient linen packets that include fitted sheet, draw sheet and pillow case.
Making patient packets that include gown, bath blanket, scrub hat and shoe covers.
Taking soiled linen to soiled utility room.
Emptying garbage cans.
Maintains a safe, neat well stocked environment at all times.
· Cleans carts between patients.
· Cleans wheelchair between patients.
· Cleans soiled surfaces immediately with approved solution.
· Removes garbage, soiled linen and dishes from unit at end of day.
· Restocks supplies as needed.
· Insures a clean safe environment.

EDUCATION:
CNA need at least a high school diploma or GED.
The must also complete a stat-approved CAN training program and pass the exam.
They must pass a background check and be CPR certified.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.30 - $21.20 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
