Job Overview
As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting R&D projects and collaborating with cross-functional portfolio teams. You'll be involved in the end-to-end development of hardware prototypes, contributing to the design and assembly of PCB, mechanical components, and software scripts. Your work will include conducting tests and experiments that drive development toward manufacturing readiness, while maintaining thorough documentation and process records to track test data and results. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. You'll have opportunities to explore a variety of projects and engage with a talented team of engineers to share knowledge and expertise.
- Soldering (Printed Circuit Board) PCBs with Surface-Mounted Components (SMCs)
- Testing circuit boards using oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
- Performing SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) soldering on circuit boards
- Soldering wire harnesses and making cables based on minimal documentation
- Modifying circuit boards using wire jumpers and PCB trace modifications
- Assist engineers in Engineering Change orders and redlining
- Supporting 5S and Lean processes to maintain a clean and efficient work environment
- Documenting test procedures and data for repeatability and consistency
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of testing and projects
- Assisting in the construction of testing platforms and event setups
- Reviewing and interpreting PCB layouts for accurate implementation
- Perform other duties as required.

- Knowledge of Electrical SMT and Software
- Knowledge of circuits
- Ability to understand schematics, assembly drawings, and PCB layout
- Understanding of Electrical equipment DMM
- Knowledge of SMT Soldering (Micro-soldering)
- Associate's degree and 0 years of experience (No degree and 1 year)
- Knowledge on Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power point, ect.)
- Work well with teams and collaborate with other teams
- Able to obtain new skills quickly
- Able to work with supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to support project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep technical projects on-track
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Associate degree in engineering or technical field preferred.
- 1 -3 years of experience supporting aerospace or equivalent projects
- Experience as an engineering technician is a plus
- Equivalent documented work experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable
- Altium PCB layout software knowledge preferred
- Cable wiring for RC planes knowledge preferred
- Understanding Gas engines knowledge preferred
- Understanding electrical motors knowledge preferred
