Job Overview
As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting R&D projects and collaborating with cross-functional portfolio teams. You'll be involved in the end-to-end development of hardware prototypes, contributing to the design and assembly of PCB, mechanical components, and software scripts. Your work will include conducting tests and experiments that drive development toward manufacturing readiness, while maintaining thorough documentation and process records to track test data and results. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. You'll have opportunities to explore a variety of projects and engage with a talented team of engineers to share knowledge and expertise.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues to identify faulty components
- Conducting troubleshooting for both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Soldering and assembling PCB components and cables with precision
- Using oscilloscopes and digital multimeters (DMM) to thoroughly test circuit boards
- Supporting the build and setup of testing platforms to ensure accurate evaluations
- Implementing 5S and Lean processes to maintain an organized and efficient workspace
- Utilizing hand and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks with attention to detail
- Assisting with the use of multimeters and probes for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment wiring
- Supporting cable assembly and performing repairs to ensure functional integrity
- Contributing to the integration, fuselage/airframe, and programming components of UAV projects
- Assisting with the assembly of electrical components, including switches, controls, and junction boxes
- Documenting test results and collected data for reproducibility and reference
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful testing and project completion
- Assisting with the creation and setup of test platforms and event preparations
- Performing other related tasks as needed to support ongoing projects and initiatives
- Assist with Engineering Change Orders and Redlining Drawings
- Perform other duties as required.

- Solid knowledge of Electrical and Aircraft Systems
- Knowledge of power and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of UAV and CUAV
- Understanding of Electrical equipment (O-Scopes, DMM)
- Knowledge on Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power point, ect.)
- Assist with identifying and addressing technical problems
- Work well with teams and collaborate with other teams
- Able to obtain new skills quickly
- Able to work with supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to support project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep technical projects on-track
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Associate degree in engineering or technical field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience as an engineering technician or other relevant technical field
- Equivalent documented work experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable
- Experience with Cable wiring for RC planes
- Experience with understanding Gas engines
- Experience with understanding electrical motors
