Job Overview
The Senior Project Engineer at AEVEX is responsible for overseeing and managing the technical execution of engineering projects from conception to completion. They lead a team of engineers and technicians in the development of hardware solutions and integrated systems for DoD customers in a rapid development environment.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for leading a team of engineers and contractors to ensure a total technical solution is within scope, budget and being delivered to the customer on time
- Accountable for managing all aspects of product design, production, testing and support.
- Provides Interface between Program Management, Design and Production team
- Responsible for development, implementation, and management of AS9100 design and development processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Accountable for managing and documenting system and subsystem level requirements and interfaces in coordination with suppliers and design team. Responsible for verification of the 'as designed' solution to those requirements.
- Responsible for managing system and subsystem interfaces and translation of those requirements across a multi-disciplinary team which they manage.
- Perform other duties as assigned
