The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Project Engineer acts as a technical leader and provides mentorship to junior engineers while ensuring projects meet all requirements for quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide interface between Project Management, Design and Production team
- Provide technical direction and solutions for complex engineering challenges. Act as the subject matter expert for engineering designs and project specifications.
- Oversee the design and development of project plans, specifications, and engineering solutions. Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring potential issues are addressed proactively.
- Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and resources. Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
- Manage the tasking of technical team ensuring resources are available to support all project milestones and deliveries.
- Ensure thorough and accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Perform other duties as required
