Job Overview
A User Experience / User Interface (UX / UI) Designer is responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences for users. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and graphic designers, to understand user needs and design effective solutions. UX / UI Designers conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate on the visual design of operator interface, mobile apps, and other digital products that connect the user to the operational platform in stressful chaotic environments where the interface cannot increase cognitive burden of user. They also conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback to ensure a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
Essential Functions
- Conduct user research through user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Develop storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Create visually appealing and consistent user interfaces, including design systems, typography, color schemes, and layouts.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
- Plan and execute usability testing sessions, analyze feedback, and iterate on designs to enhance the user experience.
- Develop and maintain style guides, design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across all digital products.
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to provide inclusive experiences for all users.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are optimized for performance across various devices and platforms.
- Perform other duties as required.
