Job Summary
Luxury fine art gallery and publisher seeking a detail-oriented and efficient installer and packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and packaging products for shipment, ensuring that all items are packed securely and accurately. They will also work with the Operations Director and Gallery Director to facilitate in house installations and gallery layout as well as on-site installations. This role requires a commitment to quality and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Picture framing experience and a college education is preferred.
Duties
- Accurately pack products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect items for defects or damages before packaging.
- Utilize appropriate packing materials and techniques to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label packages clearly and correctly for shipping purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Installation of artwork both at our showroom gallery as well as on-site for client deliveries.
- Assist in inventory management as directed.
- Gallery maintenance in day to day operations.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality control, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a packing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Best Practices in Art Handling.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
- Self Motivation and experience working in Small Group Settings
- Solution Oriented Attitudes and Creative Problem Solving Skills
