Cleaner/Packer
Job Tasks
- Keep areas clean and remove trash
- Keep area dust free, empty vacuum system and operate floor scrubber
- Maintain 5S systems within the areas
- Relieve breaks for the Packer
- Complete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document
- Basic trouble shooting of equipment issues
- Inspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPE
- Safely use, store chemicals and maintain chemical labeling
- Complete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document
- Assist the packer to prevent downtime and maintain exceptional customer service
Job Tasks
- Obtain forklift certification and safely operate a forklift
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot and sanitize the packer, supersack station, bag sealer, labeler and robot
- Verify the condition of the sifter screen and complete required sifter checks
- Complete all documentation including, but not limited to the check sheet, hour by hour sheets, sifter sheet and palletizing log
- Maintain 5S for their area
- Complete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document
- Basic trouble shooting of equipment issues
- Inspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPE
- Safely use and store chemicals and maintain chemical labeling
- Follow safe lifting procedures
- Follow all IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) procedures including but not limited to Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding and Electrical Safety and Fall Protection
- Act as a safety ambassador, immediately reporting potential safety concerns
- Complete sifter screen checks, following “stop line” procedures when deficiencies are identified
- Ensure that bags are sealed and stacked properly on the pallet for good presentation to the customer
- Act as a quality ambassador, immediately reporting potential quality concerns
- Maintain good housekeeping and proper sanitation
- Follow quality procedures including the utilization of metal to prevent foreign material from entering finished good products
- Follow standard work in order to meet daily customer demand
- Track performance and work to decrease production downtime
- Work to control spills and minimize packaging waste
