What we need: The Marketing Intern will assist in the details surrounding the public relations and launch of a new clinic as well as provide critical research and support for the occupational health sales team.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate grand opening events including VIP events and ribbon-cutting ceremonies
- Identify key local referral partners like private practice physicians and physical therapists.
- Prepare marketing data by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing demographic and sales data.
- Manage promotional merchandise (pens, brochures) by coordinating requirements with graphics department (inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt, and managing clinic installation/placement.)
- Support sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new service information
- Follow and track news stories related to corporate press releases
- Maintain media contact list
- Contact media, partners, and vendors throughout grand opening campaigns
- Oversee email and direct mail campaigns
- Assist in video production and coordinate photography as needed
- Manage digital media assets as directed
- Coordinate and/or write social media posts in collaboration with key AFC staff
Ideal candidates have relevant event, marketing, and sales experience and are eager to learn about Portland/Vancouver area marketing, advertising, sales, events, and consumer research.
It will be beneficial to be candid about task accountability, goal setting, and highly effective in your organizational process.
