Position Summary:
AFC Urgent Care PNW is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our leadership team. This pivotal role will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and a trusted advisor to managers and employees across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR best practices, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for driving key HR initiatives, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting the continued growth and success of AFC Urgent Care PNW.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Business Partner:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to the executive team, providing an HR perspective on organizational strategy, change management, and business decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business objectives and challenges, and translate them into effective HR strategies and solutions.
- Provide coaching and guidance to executive staff on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and best management practices.
- Navigate complex situations with a "partner" mentality, building trust and finding balanced solutions that consider various perspectives and objectives.
- Ensure HR compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Manager Coaching and Development:
- Act as a coach and sounding board for first-line managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and team development.
- Equip managers with the tools and resources they need to effectively lead their teams and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Support the development of management skills and capabilities through coaching and informal training.
HR Systems and Processes:
- Oversee and manage the organization's HR technology platforms and processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate and optimize HR workflows to strike a practical balance between thoroughness and the operational realities of a growing organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance the employee experience and HR effectiveness.
Recruitment Management:
- Manage the overall recruitment function, overseeing both internal and external recruitment strategies.
- Partner with an external recruiter for the sourcing and hiring of physicians (MD/DO) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Lead and develop internal recruiters responsible for sourcing and hiring all other positions within the organization.
- Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience.
- Monitor key recruitment metrics and implement strategies to improve time-to-hire and quality of hires.
Payroll and ADP Relationship (Co-Management):
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to manage the relationship with ADP, the organization's payroll provider.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, working in partnership with the HR/Payroll Specialist.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Participate in the resolution of payroll-related issues.
Employee Benefits Management:
- Manage the employee benefits program, acting as the primary point of contact for the benefits broker.
- Lead the annual benefits renewal process, working closely with the CEO to evaluate options and make informed decisions.
- Oversee the open enrollment process, including employee communications, education, and system updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and resolve benefit-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA).
Team Leadership and Vendor Management:
- Manage and mentor a team, including internal recruiters and an HR/Payroll Specialist, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Oversee relationships with external HR related vendors, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least some portion as an HR Manager.
- Demonstrated experience in providing strategic HR support to executive leadership.
- Proven ability to coach and influence managers at all levels.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
- Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including working with external recruiters.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and HRIS systems (experience with ADP Workforce is a strong advantage).
- Experience managing employee benefits programs, including renewals and open enrollment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- A pragmatic and results-oriented approach.
Pay and Benefits:
- $70,000 - $90,000 annual salary, dependent on experience
