Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient customer service while managing the administrative tasks of our medical office. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including care plans and medical histories.
- Process insurance information and verify patient eligibility. Collect co-pays
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, including EMR, for documentation and scheduling.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on providing excellent care.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks and office management principles.
- Knowledge of verifying and understanding insurance copays & deductibles
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; experience with EMR system is a plus.
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
