Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging area.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray procedures.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes and sonography is a plus.
- Strong understanding of human physiology to accurately assess patient needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially within an ER or Level I Trauma Center.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
