Job Overview:
The Receiving/Inventory/Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across all company warehouses, overseeing the shipping and receiving processes, and ensuring that all inbound and outbound orders are verified. This role involves managing inventory movements, coordinating shipments, and ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected in the warehouse management system. The Receiving/Inventory/Shipping Clerk will lead a small team and collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update inventory records in the ERP system for all warehouse locations.
- Lead a team of 2-3 inventory coordinators while working alongside them to achieve daily goals.
- Oversee the receiving process of inbound materials, ensuring they are properly logged and stored according to procedures.
- Oversee the shipping process, ensuring all outbound shipments are packed, labeled, and documented accurately.
- Create daily inventory transfers between multiple warehouse locations.
- Generate daily purchase orders (POs) for the purchasing team to replenish inventory.
- Reconcile POs, transfers, and work orders as required.
- Manage and oversee daily physical inventory counts and reconciliation at various locations throughout the year.
- Collaborate with sales and other departments, such as Transportation, S/R, Manufacturing Warehouse, and Accounting.
- Advise the purchasing team on maintaining appropriate inventory levels at each branch location based on inventory targets.
- Assist in distributing inventory information to production departments.
- Support sales staff by coordinating inventory and shipping needs across different branch locations.
- Set up and train new employees on receiving, inventory, and shipping management processes.
- Perform daily inventory management tasks, including adjusting inventory for overages/shortages, defective, or damaged products/materials, and identifying any inventory variances.
- Ensure all materials and products in inventory are approved per quality standards.
- Perform routine clerical duties, such as filing invoices, maintaining records, and preparing shipping documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience:
- 3-5 years of inventory management, shipping, or warehouse experience.
- Forklift experience or completion of a forklift training program within the first 14 days of employment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with ISO 9001 is required.
- Prior experience with ISO 13485 and JobBoss is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and plant systems, processes, and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with peers and leadership.
- Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures related to inventory management, receiving, and shipping.
- Proficient in the use of computers and various MS Office programs.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Occasional physical activities, including reaching, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
Inventory Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in inventory management is preferred.
Quality Experience:
- 1 year of quality-related experience is required.
Forklift Experience:
- 1 year of forklift operation experience is preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
