Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections.
- Required to wear seat belt and ear plugs while operating lift.
- Unload flatbed trucks and box vans for receivables.
- All inbound material must be delivered to assigned department by the end of the day.
- Move finished and in-process material from each operation to the next area as needed.
- Dump all hoppers at the end of the shift daily or when needed during shift.
- All scrap bins in packing are to be sent to scrap saw at the end of shift on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Load flatbeds and dry vans.
- 4 way pallets are stored on the patio. Area to be kept organized daily.
- Bought longer pallets are stored on the pallet yard with like sizes together. Area to be kept organized daily.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Ensures good housekeeping in work area.
- Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
- Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Performs related work as required.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Requires ability to read and write, add and subtract whole numbers. Must have forklift certificate showing completion of a forklift driving qualification training.
- Education: High School or GED. Must have current forklift operator certification.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.25 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
