REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Up to two people
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Coordinate daily operation of the Maintenance Department.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)
- Directs the activities of the Maintenance Department.
- Communicates job assignments to employees and monitors their performance.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies that drive equipment uptime.
- Evaluate equipment reliability and take appropriate actions to improve performance.
- Establish and execute a Preventive Maintenance Program for all production equipment.
- Conducts inspection of the facility and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Actively engage with the maintenance team in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
- This is a hands-on, working supervisor position.
- Plans and oversee the installation of new equipment.
- Has previous experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems-Prefer Fiix Software.
- Coordinates and oversees work conducted by outside contractors and service providers.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical and PLC equipment and make the required repairs.
- Fluent in the use of electrical multi-meter, amp probe, megger, DC control voltage and 480 volt, 3 phase systems including changing out of motors.
- Experience with lubrication analysis and corrective measures.
- Maintain work order system including, planning of repairs, parts ordering, kitting of parts and commissioning of equipment.
- Maintains parts inventory
- Responsible for developing maintenance training program.
- OSHA 10 certified or willing to obtain certification with the first 90 days of hire date.
- Monitors expenditures, and controls budget for the department.
- Maintains appropriate logs and records as needed to properly track and maintain equipment status.
- Identify equipment safety concerns and initiate corrective action.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Insures good housekeeping in work area.
- Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
- Considers safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Performs related work as required.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to work with and supervise employees. Able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Able to work from drawings, specifications, and formulas involving limited detail, use micrometers, calipers, and scales. Requires knowledge of electric, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
