Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated individual with an administrative and customer service background. AFE Construction, LLC is currently seeking to hire a Project Coordinator for a Lead Water Service Replacement Program being implemented by a local water company. This program is designed to replace lead pipes that deliver water to residential homes to reduce exposure to lead in their drinking water throughout Peoria and Pekin in Illinois. The candidate will be responsible for functions assigned to him/her under the supervision of the local water company Program Manager. A successful Project Coordinator should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation to implement a successful program.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, entering, tracking, and maintaining confidential and time sensitive data
- Maintaining effective communication with contractors as well as homeowners by written correspondence, phone calls and home visits to ensure understanding of program objectives and procedures both before and after completion of lead water service replacement
- Scheduling and calendar management
- Maintain documentation of correspondences
- Support all project staff with various administrative duties
- Work with Program Manager and other key staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of work tasks along with submitting reports and other documentation
- Meet time constraints and homeowner’s expectations for a timely execution of program goals
The preferred candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills extraordinary attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and customer focus
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously; set priorities and plan work to meet deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and develop solutions, working well in a team environment
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Proficiency in use of computers and software appropriate to this position, including Microsoft Excel and Teams. Ability to learn new software programs as necessary
- Ability to work attentively with minimal supervision and set priorities
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Empathy and resolve to inform owners of the benefit of participating in the program
- Plumbing and water service knowledge is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of Peoria County and/or Tazwell County residential neighborhoods potentially affected with lead piping is a plus
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent, some college (Preferred)
- US work authorization (Required)
- Minimum of 5 years working in an office environment
Salary is based upon experience.
