We are looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer who cares deeply about user experience, and with strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure the quality of mobile applications that millions of customers use every day. \n- Perform manual and automated testing on Afero’s Mobile applications to ensure seamless functionality of our mobile applications across connected devices.
- Create, document, and maintain test plans and cases based on requirements.
- Log, track, and prioritize defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
- Work with developers and product managers to align development and testing efforts.
- Set up and manage testing environments, including devices and tools.
- Provide test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on best practices and suggest process improvements.
- Keep up with the fast-paced release cycles and support customer-committed timelines.
- Manage fast-paced release cycles and meet customer timelines by efficiently identifying, logging, and resolving issues on iOS and Android, ensuring optimal user experience and smoother releases.
- 5 years of experience in manual and automated Mobile app testing on iOS and Android platforms, with a focus on embedded systems or IoT devices.
- Strong experience in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and executing tests across different platforms (web, mobile).Hands-on experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) for defect management.
- Knowledge of log viewing tools like Android Studio and iOS console.
- Knowledge of IoT devices and experience testing hardware and software integration.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify, track, and communicate defects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to document test results and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Flutter Automation Framework, Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C , Java) is a bonus.
- This is a hybrid position; candidates should be able to come into the Los Altos CA office at least three days per week.
