Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat products, ensuring that they meet our high standards for freshness and presentation. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Cutting, trimming, and preparing cuts of meat into smaller portions for wholesale/retail sale
- Weighing, measuring, packaging and labeling meat products per specifications
- Ensuring proper storage and handling of all meat products
- Must meet production and accuracy standards
- Work independently and as a team in order to meet daily production targets
- Perform other related job functions as assigned
Requirements and skills
- High School Degree or GED equivalency preferred, but not required
- Ability to use knives, scales and other equipment with precision in order to perform job functions safely
- Must adhere to all HAACP, GMP, USDA, Food Safety, Sanitation, Manufacturing practices, requirements and regulations
- Ability to work in a meat processing environment with varying conditions & extreme temperatures
- Prior working experience in a butcher shop or meat processing facility preferred
- Prior meat cutting experience and knowledge of various cuts of meat preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs as needed

Pay: $16.48 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
