Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Compliance is responsible for monitoring all affordable housing programs that are designated to each of our properties. One of the primary duties of this position will be reviewing resident certification and recertification files, as well as overseeing the 3rd party that reviews files. Reviews compliance of Tax Credit / Bond, Section 8, HOME, FDIC, RAD and LIHTC sites. Moderate travel is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential functions for this position relate to the responsibility of oversight of property operations of assigned properties, companies, and personnel including but not limited to :
- Monitoring each property's affordable housing programs to ensure that all target numbers are met.
- Auditing all pre-move in certification files to make sure that all households are income qualified before the households move in.
- Assist with rent increase requests pertaining to affordable housing programs
- Participate in budgeting as needed, as it relates to compliance costs and training needs
- Review all pre-move in certification files to make sure that all households are income qualified before the households move in.
- Ensure affordability levels are maintained, applicable rents and utility allowances are in place which will be reviewed on all pre-move in and recertification files..
- Administer Company policies related to matters such as regulation of property management and marketing of Tax Credit / Bond, Section 8 and LIHTC housing sites, operations, safety and property maintenance standards.
- Periodically visits site offices, inspects field operations and reviews periodic reports from property managers to determine progress of compliance.
- Provide training to Property Management staff.
- Coordinates with 3rd party compliance review company.
- Oversee and be able to trouble shoot compliance issues in Yardi
