About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include preparing and setting up treatment rooms, updating patient health history, and performing various hygiene procedures. You will also identify periodontal and restorative issues, facilitate dentist's treatment recommendations, and ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Welcome and seat patients cheerfully
• Prepare and set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures
• Update patient health history and provide oral hygiene education
• Perform scaling, root planning, and fluoride application
• Identify periodontal and restorative issues; facilitate dentist's treatment recommendations
• Capture and interpret x-rays
• Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer exams
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive measures
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Maintain a clean and organized dental lab
• Adhere to safety and OSHA guidelines as well as office standards
• Occasionally travel for continuing education or seminars
To succeed in this role, you should have an Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program, a CT state license, CPR certification, and 1-year dental experience. Certification in anesthesia is preferred if applicable. Strong communication skills, a passion for dental healthcare, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care are essential qualities for this position.
