Compliance Specialist

Summary:  The Compliance Specialist plays an integral role in ensuring casino operations are meeting the requirements of both the state and federal regulators.  With guidance from the Sr. Compliance Manager, this position will participate in a variety of projects including Title 31 Audits, Know Your Customer (KYC) research, interacting with casino personnel and preparing reports. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily Title 31 audits of gaming and financial transactions to ensure compliance with both State and Federal Regulators.

• Maintenance of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Title 31 training program for applicable employees.

• Responsible for filing CTRs and SARs with FinCEN.
• Responsible for performing the monthly know your customer (KYC) and AML analytics procedures.

• Research suspicious activity and submit Suspicious Activity Incident Reports (SAIRs) to the AML Committee.

• Maintain an organized system of record keeping for all applicable reports and documents.

• Prepare and issue Exception Notices for instances of noncompliance with Title 31 procedures.

• Assist the Senior Compliance Manager with Title 31 related items during internal and external audits/exams.
• Perform annual AML Risk Assessments.
• Comfortable interacting with various levels of personnel including Senior Management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Prior Gaming Compliance preferred or 1 year auditing, cage cashier or similar position in the casino industry.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.
