A critical focus of this role will be monetizing DRF’s social media presence and syndicating content to drive revenue growth. This cross-functional role will collaborate closely with Marketing, Editorial, and Product teams to elevate DRF’s social presence across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as DRF’s social media champion, showcasing the brand through compelling marketing content, products, and stories.
- Serve as the company’s digital voice by creating engaging, shareable content tailored to DRF’s audience.
- Design scalable social media programs and campaigns across multiple platforms to maximize impact.
- Develop and implement strategies to monetize DRF’s social media content, including identifying sponsorship, advertising, and partnership opportunities.
- Manage the syndication of DRF’s social content to relevant platforms and partners, ensuring broader reach and revenue potential.
- Oversee all organic social media efforts, including editorial and marketing content, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive social marketing calendar to support campaigns and initiatives.
- Cultivate relationships with industry professionals and influencers via social media to strengthen DRF’s network and visibility.
- Track, analyze, and report on KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns and inform strategy adjustments.
- Evaluate and recommend technology, tools, and strategies that can streamline costs and efforts to create monetization of the created assets.
- Stay informed about social media trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
- Proven experience managing social media for a brand, with a strong focus on monetization and syndication strategies.
- Deep understanding of content creation, audience engagement, and platform-specific best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and execute revenue-generating opportunities through social media channels.
- Analytical skills to track performance metrics and refine strategies based on data insights.
- Excellent communication skills with a creative and innovative mindset.
- Experience in the sports, media, or entertainment industry; knowledge of horse racing is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in marketing, editorial, or a related field is required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in digital editorial, social marketing, preferably within horse racing, sports betting, sports, publishing, gambling, gaming or consumer e-commerce businesses
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of social media
- Understanding of horse racing, sports betting and/or gambling is a must
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group environments
- Creative, enterprising, self-starter
- Weekend work is required
