Data Analyst (Food Broker)

Position: Data Analyst

The Affinity Group Retail division is seeking a Data Analyst. This position is remote, and the candidate can be located anywhere in the Northeast USA. Buffalo, NY area preferred.

Position Summary:

The Data Analyst is responsible for performing data analysis, developing data models, and creating insightful reports to support business decision-making. This role involves working closely with various departments to provide tailored analytical solutions, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to the organization’s overall business performance.

Essential Functions:

• Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner
• Develop and maintain data models and analytics tools to support business operations
• Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions
• Create and present data analysis reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures
• Assist in the development and maintenance of data analytics infrastructure and tools
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• BA/BS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in data analysis, data modeling, and business intelligence
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), SQL, and Power BI
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable recommendations
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to learn and adapt to new data analytics software and tools
• A positive, professional, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and presentation skills
