JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Senior Hospice Sales Representative is responsible for successfully selling Affinity Hospice services in a defined geographic territory, developing and implementing a comprehensive external and internal sales and marketing plan, and assisting in leadership and training when the Regional Director of Business Development is unavailable.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• EDUCATION:
o Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE:
o Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare sales or marketing role, preferably within home health, hospice, or a related industry.
o Six (6) months as a Hospice Sales Representative at Affinity Hospice.
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE(S):
o Valid driver’s license with a reliable, insured vehicle that meets organizational requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Educate physician offices/groups, hospitals, and long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc.) on the benefits of home health and/or hospice services.
• Identify and qualify opportunities, make presentations to key decision-makers, and overcome objections.
• Required to complete a minimum number of sales calls per day as outlined by the Director.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of referral sources, monthly activity, weekly activity, and daily activity in a company-chosen CRM.
• Document marketing expenditures and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
• Perform market research and analysis.
• Work with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate community education for healthcare professionals and the community at large.
• Furnish marketing advice, counsel, and general staff support to all departments within the company.
• Monitor external and internal environments for new market segment developments.
• Develop marketing campaigns for new and existing services, including formulating budgets for each campaign.
• Assist with public relations outreach through speaking engagements, in-services, and community organization involvement.
• Assist the Regional Director of Business Development with ride-along of peers and meetings such as Lunch N Learn, Protocol, and Journey meetings when the Director is unavailable.
• Lead team calls in the absence of the Regional Director of Business Development.
• Assist with training new hires through one-on-one sit-downs and ride-along.
• Perform other sales duties as assigned by management to support department goals and initiatives.
