On behalf of our client, Affinity Group is looking for a Product Owner for a 12 month contract. Candidates must be located in the Lower Mainland and have the ability to work on site in Vancouver three times per week.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and strategic Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value solutions. This role is central to ensuring that business needs are met while aligning with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders and team members.
- Develop, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate with development teams, designers, and other stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver features.
- Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review meetings to ensure the team delivers high-quality solutions.
- Analyze and incorporate feedback from users, stakeholders, and market research into the product roadmap.
- Monitor product performance and propose enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure the delivery of value-driven solutions on time and within scope.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance technical and business priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
