Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focused on pediatric home healthcare, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering specialized care to our young client. Collaborating closely with the child and their family, you’ll ensure that their medical and emotional needs are met with warmth and expertise. This position offers a set schedule of Sunday 11pm to 8am and Monday 8pm to 8am, perfect for those committed to providing top-notch care in a nurturing home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric clients during the shift.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the child’s physician.
- Monitor the child's health status, including vital signs and response to treatment.
- Manage and provide care for any medical equipment or devices the child may need.
- Educate and empower families in managing their child’s health needs and care routines.
- Document all care activities and observations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or changes in the child’s condition.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active LPN license in the state of New York.
- Experience in pediatric nursing or a strong passion for pediatric care.
- Familiarity with pediatric medical equipment and treatments.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
