The Success Coach is responsible for delivering educational, developmental, workforce development, and community-based programs to participants. This role involves facilitating sessions, managing program logistics, engaging with participants, mobilizing resources, and ensuring that all activities align with the organization's mission and objectives. The Success Coach works closely with the Program Manager, and team members. The Success Coach is responsible for ensuring program success by fostering engagement, adaptability, and inclusivity while securing resources to support program goals.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties (Key Tasks)
Bachelor’s Degree (Required): Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Workforce Development, Public Administration or Organizational Leadership
Master’s Degree (Preferred) Education (Adult or Continuing Ed focus) Social Work (MSW), Counseling or Clinical Psychology, Public or Nonprofit Management
Relevant Certifications (Optional but Beneficial): ·
Workforce Development Professional (e.g., CWDP), Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care Training ·
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
Other requirements (Behavioral, competency, personality)
One to Three years with any combination of experience listed below.
Program Facilitation & Delivery – (i.e. Led workshops, training sessions, or educational programs for youth or adults in community or educational settings. Facilitated life skills, career readiness, or personal development sessions in nonprofit or workforce development organizations.)
Case Management or Coaching- (i.e. Provided one-on-one coaching or mentoring to clients focused on educational achievement, career planning, or overcoming personal challenges. Managed caseloads of individuals in transitional programs (e.g., reentry, housing assistance, youth development).
Workforce Development – (i.e. Supported job seekers through resume building, interview preparation, job placement, or career pathway planning. Partnered with employers and training providers to align participant goals with workforce opportunities).
Community Engagement- (i.e. Built relationships with community organizations, schools, or service providers to coordinate program resources or referrals. Organized or supported community events, resource fairs, or outreach initiatives to increase program visibility and engagement.
Program Coordination or Administration- (i.e. Handled logistics for educational or training programs including scheduling, materials prep, attendance tracking, and evaluation.
Worked closely with program managers or leadership to assess program impact and adjust delivery for better outcomes.)
Teaching, Tutoring, or Youth Services – (i.e. Experience in a classroom, afterschool program, or youth mentoring program delivering structured lessons or support.
Engaged with diverse learners or underserved populations in educational or developmental settings.)

- Supports the organization with recruiting participants and maintain and sustain community and employer partnerships to promote program visibility, job placement, and impact;
- Ensures timely coordination of program logistics, including scheduling, materials, transportation, and workforce-related resources;
- Provides continuous support to participants through individualized service plans, follow-ups, career coaching, job readiness training, and care coordination;
- Gathers and reports program data to evaluate effectiveness, track employment outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
