Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Support clients with medication management as per care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, adjusting as necessary based on client needs.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document daily activities, changes in condition, and any concerns to communicate with family members or healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care or home community care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care and memory care techniques is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to changing client needs.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
