Description

The Aircraft Worker Cleaner duties shall include, but are not limited to:

Contractor personnel shall determine the proper cleaning method to minimize the work requirements and still obtain the desired finish and cleanliness. Contractor personnel will remove paint, rust, carbon, grease, dirt, oils, sludge, and coatings, using such methods and equipment as burnishing, steam cleaning, high pressure spraying, ultrasonic cleaners, and chemical tank processing. All cleaning is accomplished without doing structural damage to parts cleaned and obtain the proper smoothness and finish required. Contractor personnel must have the ability to interpret cleaning manuals, technical publications, specifications and instructions concerning the parts to be cleaned and the degree of cleanliness and finish required. This position requires the knowledge of stripping compounds, cleaning solutions, chemical mixtures (including length of application), and the equipment required to perform the cleaning processes; e.g., cleaning tanks, steam cleaning equipment and ultrasonic cleaners. Contractor personnel must be able to make proper adjustment to cleaning equipment for proper temperature and pressure for maximum cleaning efficiency. As part of preservation, Contractor personnel shall paint exposed equipment surfaces as directed to maintain precision manufacturing equipment. Contractor personnel shall determine the appropriate tools, equipment, materials and cleaning agents to utilize in the cleaning process depending on the type metals or surfaces being cleaned. Contractor personnel on occasion will have to add chemicals to the chemical tanks, using all safety precautions required through hazardous chemical training and the MSDS sheets of each chemical. Contractor personnel will comply with the Tool Control Program, and be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) commensurate with assigned tasks. Contractor personnel shall follow all safety guidelines within the area of assignment and follow all hazardous material requirements and environmental compliances. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Must be able to speak, read and write and understand English.

Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and / or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task.

Must past pre-employment background check.

Must past pre-employment and post-employment drug testing.

Must be able to attain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System Card (DBIDS).

Must be able to attain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.

Must Obtain a Common Access Card to start.
