We are looking for dedicated and highly qualified professional for the position of Program Manager / Business Development.
The Program Manager / Business Development will act as the overall lead and administrator for the contracted effort in support of aircraft maintenance operations, and work closely with senior management in driving innovative strategies for new growth in accordance with industry trends and customer needs. The position’s focus will be capturing DoD Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Contracts for Aviation and UAS, Logistics, IT or International and other Engineering tasks. This will require travelling to Govt agencies, Military bases and Aerospace companies and identify their needs that we can support, write successful proposals, and prepare strategic marketing plan and business plan.
Program Manager:
- Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort in support of aircraft maintenance operations.
- Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
- Oversees Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Follows all required policies and procedures, enforces the Statement of Work
- Ensures all work performed is in accordance with terms of the contract
- Implements processes which help to meet projected cost, scheduling, and technical objectives
- Coordinates equipment, material, and facility requirements needed in order to complete tasks
- Maintains regulatory compliance with staff for all policies and procedures
- Ensures timely service, excellent quality, and superior products are regularly delivered to the customer
Business Development:
- Develops and maintains criteria for evaluating proposals to determine if the company should bid.
- Creates a long-term pre-planning system to identify key upcoming RFPs and anticipated requirements. Works with customers to proactively develop solutions, staffing, and pricing strategy.
- Develops necessary internal processes to minimize RFP response time and the cost to produce proposals. Augment and creates new standard proposal modules.
- Establishes and maintains standards for proposals that meets growth objectives, address customer needs and expand competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Determines proposal strategy, outline a responsive program design, and develop compelling content. Ensures feedback from reviewers is integrated accordingly.
- Tracks development of new business opportunities shares industry information with colleagues and provides guidance to senior management regarding trends in proposal requirements.
- Under the direction of the Chairman, develop the annual Strategic Marketing Plan
- Assists company leadership staff who are making presentations for external audiences with relevant research, talking points, and slide decks. Provides writing and editing assistance to leadership staff related to marketing and customer relationships as needed and assigned.
- Helps represent company at customer presentations, and at hearings, public policy forums, and industry day meetings.
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance within 30 days
- Must pass pre-employment Drug testing.
- Must pass pre-employment Background Check which includes Education and work history verification.
- Prior experience in Business Development
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Prior Program Management experience in DoD aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Advanced Engineering degree in relevant technical discipline
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing DoD aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul
- At least 10 years of experience in capturing DoD Engineering Contracts, developing high-quality, proposal documentation for government or large private industry RFPs under tight deadlines or Experience and knowledge on DoD Contracting and Military Aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul
- Proven ability in gathering and synthesizing market intelligence to identify competitive and effective marketing opportunities.
