Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely, including any changes in behavior or condition.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients physically as needed.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring vital signs is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience are essential for success in this role.
