Job Overview
This position is for technical maintenance work requiring skilled expertise. Under direction, makes repairs to buildings, structures and grounds of a housing development including painting, carpentry, masonry, and mechanical work in dwelling and non‑dwelling buildings.
Responsibilities
- Maintains in proper repair and condition, all buildings, equipment installed in dwelling units, heating plants, utility lines, pumps and other operating machinery and equipment involving sanitary, carpentry, masonry, and mechanical repairs.
- Adjusts and maintains in good working order, operating and mechanical equipment, including heating, plumbing, and electrical apparatus and ranges, refrigerators, laundry and elevator equipment.
- Installs and/or repairs locks and hardware and makes keys, if necessary.
- Inspects dwelling units and schedules work to be done; keeps in good repair maintenance equipment and machinery.
- Maintains records and inventories as directed by management, and prepares reports and estimates as may be required.
- Requisitions supplies and materials needed to perform maintenance or repairs.
- Perform related work as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree, or one to three years related expereince and/or training.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
