Civil Construction Project Manager Engineering

The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Project Manager laying the foundation for sports fields and playgrounds.
That experience should include working with contractors to complete concrete work, electrical work, and contract parking lots. Additionally, experience with construction/project management software, specifically Procore or something similar is essential.

Experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of field projects from start to finish. This person will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Job Summary:
The Project Manager must be well versed in all construction methods and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills with a goal of ensuring all projects are delivered on time in compliance with all safety and quality requirements, without exceeding the budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Proven experience managing large-scale civil projects
• In depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with construction/project management software - Procore.
• Foundation, Bid 2 Win and Trimble is a plus
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall planning and coordination of civil construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Determine the resources needed (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Monitor and enforce safety procedures, compliance with regulations, and quality control standards
• Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports
• Plan all construction operations and scheduling intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc. and provide guidance when needed
• Provide regular updates to senior management, architects and owners on project status and progress
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report any issues
