Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Portable Sanitation Technician to join the team at Affordable Portables. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in keeping things clean and running smoothly. This role involves servicing portable restrooms on a designated route, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. Experience with trucks, light machinery, or manual labor is helpful, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important as we continue to grow our rapidly scaling business.
Route & Service Duties:
- Complete assigned service routes efficiently, ensuring all scheduled portable restrooms are cleaned and restocked.
- Pump out, wash, sanitize, and deodorize units according to company standards.
- Replenish toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and other necessary supplies.
- Ensure proper placement of units at job sites and events.
Equipment Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform minor repairs on portable restrooms as needed (e.g., replacing latches, rivets, soap dispensers or tightening seats).
- Report any major maintenance concerns or damaged units to management.
- Regularly inspect company vehicles, pumps, and hoses for any operational issues.
Reporting & Administrative Tasks:
- Keep accurate service logs, including job completion details and unit conditions.
- Report any issues related to customer locations, service access, or route delays.
- Turn in all fuel and supply receipts within 24 hours.
- Communicate any necessary changes or concerns to the supervisor.
Safety & Compliance:
- Operate company vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with company policies regarding vehicle and equipment use.
- Other duties as assigned by management
