Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and construction skills, including masonry, carpentry, and fixture installation. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on construction sites. The Painter will be responsible for transforming spaces through high-quality finishes while ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Perform minor repairs such as plastering and masonry work to ensure surfaces are ready for finishing.
- Install fixtures and assist with renovations as required on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and construction estimators, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in airless paint spraying techniques and knowledge of various painting materials.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials needed for projects.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and working at heights.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finishing techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job site locations.
