Job Summary
AFI is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and data driven professional to work as a Leasing & Collections Specialist! AFI is dedicated to providing exceptional property management services to our clients, tenants, and other stakeholders. The Leasing & Collections Specialist will be responsible for overseeing leasing processes and handling collections to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction. You will work remotely, coordinating with various departments, and Onsite Managers, and clients to achieve leasing goals and maintain optimal cash flow.
This position comes with a base salary that is based upon experience ranging between $20-$26/hr.
The responsibilities that are listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of responsibilities normally performed by a member of the Leasing & Collections Team:
JOB DUTIES
- Train, coach, and oversee Property Managers in regards to the holistic Leasing & Collections process (guest cards, showings, tenant screening, lease signing, move-ins/outs, collections, etc.)
- Coordinate with maintenance and property management teams to ensure properties are move-in ready.
- Assist tenants with lease renewals and address any leasing-related concerns.
- Monitor and manage tenant accounts to ensure timely rent collection.
- Handle escalations related to collections and work with legal teams if necessary.
- Address and resolve tenant inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding leasing and collections status, trends, industry news/opportunities, etc.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly wage between $20-$26/hr
- Performance Based Bonus Opportunities (~$5,000-$10,000/year /-)
- Full Company-Provided Health Insurance (~$5,000/year /-)

- Above figure does not include age-based benefits such as Critical Illness or Long-Term Disability coverage

- Total Value of ~$50,000-$75,000/year /-
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience in Property Management &/or Leasing.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and regulations. Understanding of lease agreements and collection processes.
- Extreme attention to detail with an analytical mind.
- Natural desire to resolve issues with URGENCY.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be willing to complete pre-employment drug test and background screening
