Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Product Development, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, and Quality to develop product test plans, including defining test sample build and configuration requirements.
- Lead product design verification and qualification test projects, including maintaining accurate test schedules and communicating test status with project stakeholders.
- Oversee the execution of test plans, including reviewing of test set-ups and test data.
- Generating test reports for test projects
- Designing, building, and commissioning test fixtures
- Identifying, selecting, and commissioning off-the-shelf test equipment
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
- Perform other engineering related duties as required.

Qualifications - Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a product engineering or quality engineering role
- Parametric solid modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and teamwork skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Qualifications - Preferred
- Knowledge of materials testing methodology
- Knowledge of part metrology
- Project management experience
- Experience working within an ISO-9001 quality management system.
- Knowledge of Fiber Optic industry test methodology
