This position operates manual machine tools to fabricate and manufacture machine parts, with the ability to machine inside and outside threads regularly, and able to machine new part per samples.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Reads and interprets schematics to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
- Operates fabrication machinery to machine parts used for customer need and / or hydraulic component repair.
- Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and materials to be used on machines.
- Maintains machinery (lathes, milling machine, etc.) for any needed repairs.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
- Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Assists as needed with cylinder repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
