What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Manager position at AFRICA CENTER FOR STRATEGY & POLICY?
This position will serve as a primary research coordinator for activities related to the Center’s publications: Policy papers, briefs, blog post, Opinion pieces, book reviews, Africa Today Magazine and the Monthly Africa Brief. Also, the Research manager will manage and provide guidance to all projects related to Survey, polls and recruitment of a team of research assistants to assist him in his/her work.
The research manager supports our policy work by leading our research portfolios on policy issues on a wide range of topics including security, peace & conflict, environmental policy, youth & gender, economics and trade. The Director leads our research strategy and contributes to the development of the organization’s policy agenda. The ideal candidate has a sharp analytical mind and a curious disposition and is adept working collaborative teams as well as driving individuals’ tasks and projects forward.
The Research manager will be a key driver of both the research and the implementation support required to conduct multi-thematic and interdisciplinary research and analysis — and will be a key liaison between key internal stakeholders and outside organizations.
