Job Description
As a Customer Service Team Member, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our customers while providing exceptional service. Your role will include taking orders, managing transactions, and assisting with food preparation, all while ensuring that our customers enjoy their Afrikan Delights experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Take food orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments, ensuring accurate sales reporting.
- Assist customers with menu inquiries, including providing recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service areas.
- Serve food to customers with attention to quality and presentation.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
- Provide exceptional service, addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Help set up and break down the food truck at events and markets.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or food service (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for food and customer service.
- Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Be flexible and willing to work at diverse locations and events, as this is a food truck that travels to various venues.
- Food Handler Permit (or willingness to complete training upon hire) is a plus.
