We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Truck Team Member to join our team. This position will involve both cooking and food preparation, as well as providing exceptional service to our customers at food truck events and pop-ups.
Job Description
As a Food Truck Team Member, you will play a key role in both food preparation and customer service, ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality. You will assist in the kitchen, helping with food prep and cooking, while also engaging with customers to take orders, serve food, and ensure satisfaction. Flexibility is essential, as this position requires working at various locations and events.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas.
- Follow recipes to prepare traditional African dishes.
- Engage with customers at the front counter, taking orders and answering any questions about the menu.
- Ensure all food is served promptly and meets presentation standards.
- Handle transactions, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate sales reporting.
- Assist with stocking and restocking of food items, condiments, and supplies.
- Maintain proper food storage and adhere to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Help set up and break down the food truck and service areas for each event.
- Be flexible and willing to work at various locations and events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food preparation or customer service (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team.
- Must be able to work at diverse locations and travel to various events and pop-ups.
