The Associate will provide strategic guidance and research to promote corporate accountability campaigns for immigrant justice, challenging the industries of detention, deportation, surveillance, and the militarization of borders.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Associate will support AFSC’s and partner organization’s corporate campaigns to further the goals and mission of AFSC’s Action Center for Corporate Accountability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead and participate in the Action Center’s research projects. This may include research on specific corporate targets and coordinate collaborative research projects.
- Initiate, lead, support, and participate in corporate accountability and divestment campaigns as needed.
- Create and produce educational and training materials and toolkits for ACCA’s campaigns.
- Represent and promote the Action Center’s work within AFSC networks, movement coalitions, and professional networks.
- Lead, support, and participate in Action Center activities as needed, including trainings, educational events, and other activities.
- Review program communications regularly, support and participate in program activities.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required showing corresponding research and writing skills. Extraordinary experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant research and writing required, with a strong preference to corporate or economic research organizing in a social justice campaign, preferably relating to corporate accountability.
- Minimum 3 years of experience organizing in social justice campaigns required, preferably relating to corporate accountability.
- Excellent research skills, fast independent learning in diverse topics, with natural attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work independently on time, and to problem-solve.
- Ability to work in collaboration with others across the AFSC and in ally organizations.
- Ability to plan and manage teamwork in complex shared projects with colleagues, consultants, and volunteers.
- Excellent writing skills, with an emphasis on distilling complex issues for diverse audiences. Ability to organize data and simplify complex information.
- Taking initiative, showing curiosity, following up, and following through.
- Excellent communications skills. Ability to interview with written and oral media, and present research results in public settings.
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles, concerns, and considerations of AFSC with regard to issues of race, class, nationality, religion, age, gender and sexual orientation, and disabilities.

COMPENSATION
The AFSC offers a competitive Total Rewards package. This position is Salary Family: Global Cohesion. Job Code: Program Associate - $53,000 - $68,000. Comprehensive medical and hospitalization plan; term life, STD & LTD, defined benefit pension plan, 403b match, plus other benefits including vacation, PTO, sabbaticals, extended leaves, holidays, participation in unemployment and worker’s compensation and social security.
