A Unique Opportunity
We are currently seeking an exceptional and dynamic leader to serve as an After-School Site Coordinator. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Site Coordinator's primary responsibilities will involve overseeing quality and safe after-school programs at designated partner schools. The Site Coordinator is the key ASAS representative at a partner school and is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with school administration and staff, parents, program partners, and ASAS program staff.
Responsibilities
- Represent ASAS to school administration and teachers
- Promote ASAS program within the school community
- Responsible for student recruitment and retention
- Ensure data collection on program enrollment, participation, and satisfaction
- Conduct parent and teacher outreach
- Create and oversee quality enrichment programs
- Collaborate with team and Program Manager to plan family engagement events
- Maintain regular communication with ASAS supervisor and team
- Manage all program related tasks and meet deadlines
Experience and Education
The successful candidate must have experience managing staff and overseeing the delivery of programs for youth populations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum two years college required
- Five years or more experience in an after-school, day camp, or community youth outreach setting is preferred
- Experience developing and delivering lesson plans or multi-week curriculum preferred
- Proven ability to capably engage all members of the school community
- Experience providing leadership and management of large groups of students/youth
- Experience with diverse communities and demonstrated cultural competency
- Excellent organizational skills rand administrative proficiency
- Must clear School Aged Children Care Program requirements, Statewide Central, FBI and Criminal background clearance
Job Requirements
- Exceptional communication skills and leadership ability
- Solid grasp of youth development best practices and standards.
- Professional demeanor and able to make good decisions in the best interest of the students and program
- Administrative proficiency and experience managing staff
- Associates or 2-year degree or comparable educational experience
- Ability to work within various educational media platforms
- Ability to work up to 16 hours per week
Program Oversight
- Ensure that all activities fit within ASAS core programs: academics readiness, health & wellness, STEM, visual & performing arts, and career exploration
- Ensure that all program delivery meets quality standards
- Monitor programs and make necessary adjustments to improve students’ satisfaction and impact
- Oversee planning of activities and share supply requests with Program Manager for ordering
- Manage program schedules timeframes, and ensures their accurate implementation
- Maintain inventory of program equipment and materials
Facilitation
- Create, implement, and oversee student recruitment strategy and parent engagement efforts
- Ensure that the entire program site is conducive to learning and that the environment is safe, healthy, and sanitary
- Ensure that all staff maintain professional and positive relationships with school staff, partners, students and parents
Data Management
- Ensure attendance information is collected correctly each day and timely submitted
- Communicate enrollment changes to Operations in a timely fashion
